Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eye Shadow Palette

This eye shadow palette has 18 multi-finish shadows in it and is made with 100% natural cocoa powder. The design on the box is raised, has white piping loops all along the edge and a little gingerbread man on it. The word gingerbread looks like gingerbread, the word Spice looks like piping, and there is a peppermint candy over the I in spice. The palette itself is in a tin just like the chocolate palettes and has the same raised design on the front as the box does.

Included with the palette is a How-to Glamour Guide for the Gingerbread Spice palette. With every palette, they include one of these guides and they always have three looks with a step-by-step guide. In this guide the three looks are Hottie Toddy, Spice Is Nice and Warm and Toasty.

Top Row Swatch
Colours Left to Right: Powdered Sugar (matte cream), Spiked Eggnog (metallic champagne), Gumdrop (matte fuschia), Gingerbread (matte warm brown), Warm and Toasty (metallic warm gold with sparkles), Ooo Burn! (Satin deep plum with coloured sparkles).

Middle Row Swatch
Colours Left to Right: Frostbite Me! (white with a pink shift and sparkles), Lookie At My Cookie  (matte peach), Spice Is Nice (matte rustic orange), Oh Snap! (warm brown with sparkles), Bake It ‘Til You Make It (metallic gingerbread), Spice Of Life (metallic golden Olive).

Bottom Row Swatch
Colours Left to Right: Sugar Daddy (matte baby pink), Figgy Pudding (matte plum), Hot Toddy (hot pink to copper shift with sparkles), Reindeer Paws (matte espresso), Gingerbread Latte (matte gingerbread), Spiced Rum (purple/brown with sparkles).

This palette has a good ratio of mattes and metallics to help you create many looks over the holiday season. I believe that this palette is suppose to smell like gingerbread, but to me it has a bit of a weird scent to it. I find that the scent doesn’t linger though, which is good.

For the most part these eyeshadows are really nice but there are a few that I did have troubles with. Spiced Rum is hard to pick up with a brush so you have to use your finger, and use glitter glue with it or else at the end of the day it disappears. I also had a bit of trouble getting Ooo Burn! to stay on my lid, it too disappeared by the end of the day. A few of the matte eyeshadows swatched patchy, but did go on nicely except for Oh Snap! It is patchy and has barely any pigmentation to it. Other than those three shadows, they performed nice on my lids and I created many different looks with them. I still prefer the Sweet Peach or Chocolate Gold palettes though over this one because I like the colours in them better.
