Pixi Rose Caviar Essence

   This is a hydrating serum that has encapsulated flower oil in it.

   The formula of this serum has glycerin, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e), aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf extract, illicium verum (anise) fruit extract, morus alba (mulberry) bark extract, and rose flower oil in it, along with a lot of other ingredients. The illicium verum (anise) fruit extract has antioxidant properties. The morus alba (mulberry) bark extract has antioxidant properties, and also helps with uneven skin tone. The rose flower oil has moisturizing properties, as well as antimicrobial properties and antioxidant effects. This serum is also free from parabens, is not tested on animals and is suitable for all skin types.

   This serum is in a stand up transparent squeeze tube that is rose tinted. There is a small hole for the serum to come out of. The name of the product is printed on the tube in bronze gold lettering.

   When I took the cap off of the tube and squeezed a bit out, I could smell the rose in the serum right away. The serum came out in a gel like consistency and if you aren’t careful you can squeeze out way too much. You can see the encapsulated flower oils in the serum when you squeeze it out, and it does take a little bit of rubbing to get them into the skin so that you don’t see them. After I put the serum on my face I noticed that it felt a little bit tacky until it dried down. After it dried down, my face looked smooth, felt soft and the rose scent went away. Though my skin felt hydrated after putting on the serum, I still put on a face moisturizer as always.

   Even though I don’t like the smell of roses, I don’t mind this serum because the scent doesn’t last long on the skin and it does actually help to hydrate my skin. If you have dry skin or if you need a little bit of hydration this might be a serum that your skin likes.
