Huda Beauty Nude Obessions Eyeshadow Palette in Nude Light

 

   The Nude Obessions eyeshadow palettes were made to flatter every skin tone and eye colour.

   A few of the ingredients in this palette are dimethicone, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e) and caprylyl glycol. Dimethicone (a.k.a polydimethylsiloxane) is a type of silicone that is man-made. It is used as an anti-foaming agent, a hair and skin conditioner and a skin protector. Phenoxyethanol is a synthetic preservative that is used in many cosmetic items. Ethylhexylglycerin is a synthetic ingredient that is used as a preservative. It also boosts the effectiveness of phenoxyethanol and softens your skin. Caprylyl glycol is a skin soothing moisturizer that is also used as a preservative. 

   Each of the three palettes have a different colour scheme and different coloured packaging that matches what shade they are. I have the Nude Light version so my palette has a reptile print in beige-pink as the background, and Nude Light Huda Beauty is in a light pink on the front. The same beige-nude colour on the front is carried over to the label on back and the casing on the inside. There is also a clear outer rim on the palette sides.

   The palette has a nice mirror in it and there are five matte shades and four shimmer shades in it. When I applied the shadows I found that the shimmer shades had a lot of fallout whether I used a brush or my finger. The matt shades also had some fallout but not as much as the shimmer shades. All of the shadows are fairly pigmented, but I found that they are more pigmented with my finger. All of the shadows lasted throughout the day without creasing or fading. I do like the colours in the palette and I think that you can easily turn your day look into a night look, but if you are applying the shimmer shadows to go out, make sure that you have some sort of shadow shield to protect your look from getting unwanted shadow everywhere.

   Overall I do like these shadows and I think that they perform well, but many other palettes do have similar colours in them and there is a dupe for them that is cheaper. I have not tried out the dupe so I cannot say whether or not it is of the same quality.

Dark Brown Shimmer (4):
