Makeup By Mario Master Metallics Eyeshadow Palette

   This is a metallic eyeshadow palette.

   A couple of ingredients in this formula are isostearyl neopentanoate, dimethicone, caprylyl glycol and ethylhexylglycerin. Isostearyl neopentanoate helps to improve that spreadability of a product and it also acts as a binder. Dimethicone (a.k.a polydimethylsiloxane) is a type of silicone that is man-made. It is used as an anti-foaming agent, a hair and skin conditioner and a skin protector. It spreads easily on your skin and it helps to prevent water loss by forming a barrier on your skin. Caprylyl glycol is a skin soothing moisturizer that is also used as a preservative. Ethylhexylglycerin is a synthetic ingredient that is used as a preservative. It also boosts the effectiveness of phenoxyethanol and softens your skin. This formula is also cruelty-free.

   The palette is made out of heavy white plastic and has By Mario in raised black letters on the bottom right. It has a strong magnetic closer and a full size mirror on the inside.

   When I swatched the eyeshadows they were really pigmented and there is tiny glitter in a few of them. When I went to use them, I realized that my brush didn’t pick them up that well and I had to use my finger to get the intensity that I wanted out of them. When I applied the shadows with my fingers there was less fallout then when I used a brush. I used these shadows with and without an eyeshadow primer and every day they would start to crease halfway through the day. I also noticed that the darker colours would transfer from my eyelid to below my brow bone. This does happen from time to time with my eyeshadows because of my deep set eyes. You can use these shadows both wet and dry but I only used them dry.

   Overall I didn’t like this palette because all of the shadows creased on me half way through the day.
