Bite Beauty Agave+ Lip Tint Tin

   This is a hydrating lip balm that has a hint of colour to it and some shimmer.   

   Some of the ingredients in this lip balm are mongongo kernel oil, castor seed oil, oryza sativa (rice) bran, cocoa seed butter, agave tequilana leaf extract, sunflower seed extract and tocopherol (vitamin e). The mongono kernel oil and the cocoa seed butter are both emollients, they will soothe your skin and also make it soft. Oryza sativa (rice) bran extract is a plant ingredient that is used to soften and nourish your skin. They say that agave nectar helps to nurture your lips, but the only agave ingredient that I see in the ingredients is the leaf extract and anything I find on it says that it is an astringent. This balm is also a cruelty free and vegan.

   The balm is in a teal tin with a desert scene on the front in gold. 

Lip tint in Buzzed

   The balm is caramel couloured with golden shimmer in it and it has a slight sweet scent to it. When I put it on I noticed that it does have a slight caramel tint to it. You can see the shimmer on your lips but it does feel very smooth, and I didn’t feel the shimmer in it at all. It doesn’t feel very thick but you can tell that you have something on your lips, and for me it felt a tiny bit sticky in the corner of my lips for the first hour. The balm lasted for a few hours on my lips before I had to reapply it, and during that time my lips did feel hydrated. After the first hour the balm did start to feel a bit thinner on my lips and I could no longer smell the scent. 

    I don’t mind this lip balm, it’s not my absolute favourite but I think that it would make a nice gift.
