Huda Beauty Naughty Nude Eyeshadow Palette

   This eyeshadow palette has eighteen eyeshadows in five different textures. There are eight mattes, five metallics, three reflective marble creams, one marble cream and one eye gloss with encapsulated berry and bronze pearls.

   Some of the ingredients in the eyeshadows are dimethicone, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil and tocopherol (vitamin e). Dimethicone (a.k.a polydimethylsiloxane) is a type of silicone that is man-made. It is used as an anti-foaming agent, a hair and skin conditioner and a skin protector. It spreads easily on your skin and it helps to prevent water loss by forming a barrier on your skin. Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil is a non comedogenic liquid wax that is a humectant with antioxidant properties. These eyeshadows are also talc free, gluten free and cruelty free.

   The front of the palette is burgundy with Naughty in raised rose gold writing, Nude in block letters in faded burgundy behind Naughty, and Huda Beauty also in a light burgundy on the palette. The palette is made out of a sheer hard plastic and has a full sized mirror on the inside.

   When I swatched the mattes they looked really patchy, but as I was using them they blended out really nicely and they didn’t look patchy at all. The metallic shades were easier to pick up with my finger than a brush, and there was fallout during the day. I could pick up the shimmer cream shades easily enough with a brush but there was some fallout from them during the day also. The Slippery shade is supposed to be a sheer gloss on the eye; they say that you can use it by itself, as an inner corner highlight or as a base. When I swatched Slippery, I had to dig my finger in it a bit to get a little bit of the colour out, which was annoying. When I applied it to my eyelid it stayed tacky so I decided to use it as a base. When I used it as a base I did have issues trying to blend out the mattes on it, but it did keep the shadows on and they didn’t crease all day. All of the other shadows are very pigmented, and when I tried them out with different bases and they stayed on all day without creasing, but as normal some of them did transfer a bit towards my brow bone because of my deep set eyes.  

   Overall I did like the looks that I got out of this palette, but there are a lot of different textured eye shadows that can make it hard to use. I think that the quality of the shadows is good, and I will be getting more shadow palettes from Huda Beauty in the future.
