Lise Watier Dress Code Five Colour Eyeshadow Palette

   Lise Watier is a Canadian brand that has been around for almost fifty years. These eyeshadows are a cream to powder texture, that are pigmented and have satin and matte finishes to them.

   A few of the ingredients in this eyeshadow palette are dimethicone, kaolin, caprylyl glycol, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e). Dimethicone (a.k.a polydimethylsiloxane) is a type of silicone that is man-made. It is used as an anti-foaming agent, a hair and skin conditioner and a skin protector. Kaolin clay helps to absorbs excess sebum, detoxes skin, treats acne and is good for sensitive and irritated skin. Caprylyl glycol is a skin soothing moisturizer that is also used as a preservative.

   The eyeshadows are encased in a grey mirrored compact with the Watier “W” on the front and the company name where the opening is. The compact is a little hard to open, there is no divot at the opening and the compact is a little slippery if your hands aren’t dry.

   As I opened the compact I saw that there was a good mirror on the inside along with two brushes, one has sponges on both sides and the other one has a brush on one side and a sponge on the other.

   As I was swatching the shadows, I found that the browns weren’t as pigmented as the rest of the shadows. When I was putting them on I found that they are all buildable and there was a little bit of fallout, even after tapping off my brush. At the end of the day, there was no creasing so long as I used an eyeshadow primer under them. I didn’t use any of the brushes that it came with but they would work in a pinch if you needed them.

   Overall I do like these eyeshadows and I recommend trying them out if you wanted to.
