La Roche-Posay Lipikar Lait/Lotion

La Roche-Posay has come out with a new body lotion for dry to very dry skin and it has replaced their Lipikar Fluide body lotion.

They say it is a 48 hour lipid replenishing, anti-dryness body lotion and is paraben-free and fragrance-free. It can be used for babies, adults and seniors with sensitive and dry skin who experience discomfort, stinging and tightness. The formula has cold cream, shea butter-glycerin, niacinamide and their La Roche-Posay Thermal Water.

I really like this version better, I found their other one too thick and it felt greasy. This one sinks quickly into the skin and felt non-greasy and made my hands feel nourished and silky. I recommend this product if you have dry and itchy skin. It feels so nice on the skin.

$19.00 for 200 ml (comes in a tube)
$25.00 for 400 ml (comes in pump bottle)

Available at La Roche-PosayBeauty Boutique and Shoppers Drug Mart

Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

On the packaging it says the formula combines fibers and 360 tube technology and in one step plumps and extends your lashes. It is also smudge proof, flake proof, water resistant and removes easily with warm water. It also says that is has a cone shaped brush with 3 different bristle lengths to deposit formula from lash line to tip.

For those of you wondering how can it be water resistant but removes easily with warm water. It just means that it won’t run down your face in the rain but if you wet a cotton pad and put it on your lashes for a while it will come off. So don’t go swimming with it or go to a wedding with it on.

I bought this in Plum Brown not realizing that it had fibers in it. I find that fibers do not stick to my lashes very well. They were falling off throughout the day and irritating my eyes. On the brush wand I could see the plum brown color but I could not see it on my lashes, it just looked black. My lashes are already dark to begin with so if you have lighter lashes this color should show up on you better.

Overall I will not be buying this again because of the fibers but it did make my lashes look long at least.

Revlon Metallic Lipcolor

Metallic lips seems to be a big trend for summer 2017 makeup collections.  Everyone has been coming out with them lately. I find it is a bit more of a sheer formula then the regular Matte formula even though they say it’s the same. Like the original formula it does dry down to a comfortable matte.
At Revlon.com it says that it is lightweight, moisturizing, has a velvety feel and is 100% wax-free, gel formula. It has a creamy mango and whipped vanilla fragrance and a plush velvety applicator, or as we say a paddle applicator.

Out of this collection I got the one in HD Glam and it is a pinky mauve color.

They retail for $13.49 each

CoverGirl Vitalist Elixir Foundation

This new CoverGirl foundation says that it is lightweight, full coverage makeup that hydrates and includes SPF 20, vitamins E, B3 and B5 and is oil free. It comes in 14 shades.

The active ingredient in the sunscreen is ensulizole. Ensulizole is a common sunscreen agent that is water-soluble and has characteristic of feeling light on the skin. Because of this it is used in products that companies don’t want to feel greasy. It is primarily a UVB protecting agent that provides minimal UVA protection.

I tried it out for a week and noticed that on my dry skin it did hold up for over 12 hours and felt lightweight and at times I forgot that I was wearing it. It has a floral scent to it so if you're sensitive to scents you might not like it. It did oxidize a few shades darker though. Being very fair it was like I got an instant tan without the hard work. So depending on how you look at it, it could be a win!  Be careful with the lid it comes off easily.

Overall I would recommend this foundation but keep in mind that it does oxidize and to go a few shades lighter if you can.

Annabelle Perfect Gleam

When I first saw these I was so excited to see that there was a great liquid highlighter from the drugstore at a great price!

There are two highlighters: Sunrise (Gold) and Aurora (Rose Gold)

They come with a dropper which dispenses just enough highlighter. Aurora looks really good on my pale skin, I don’t know if I would use it as a highlight on my face but I will for sure try this mixed in with my body lotion.  Sunrise looks a little too much for my skin tone at the moment; maybe it will look nicer this summer when I don’t look like a ghost. Oh who am I kidding I’ll probably use them both on my face anytime of the year!!

Lip Smacker Mocha Chip Frappe

I can’t believe when I saw this little treasure!! It’s so cute! Lip Smacker has repackaged some of their old pop lip balms and brought out some new ones. The Mocha Chip Frappe looks like a little coffee cup with whip cream on it. When you open it, it has the lip balm in the lid in an oval shape. It doesn’t provide any real color to the lips but it does provide moisture and has a fake chocolate smell that stays .I also saw a repackaged Grape Fanta Lip Balm that looked like a little soda cup with ice and a straw.

If you love to collect different lip balms or even if you loved lip smackers as a kid these are right up your alley!! I’ll be keeping mine on my vanity for decoration.

Found at Shoppers Drug Mart for $5.99. You can also find them at www.lipsmacker.com
